An Order Type can be any of the following: Debit Sales Order <DI> (Invoice), Credit Return <CI>, Warranty Return <WI>, Internal Transfer <TI> (in multi-store locations), Consignment Order <CO>, Consignment Credit <CC>, Sales Quote <QU>, Special Order <SP>, Memo <ME>, Paid Out <PO>, and Payment on Account <PA>.
Order Numbers are automatically assigned by the system. They are used to identify transactions that have not yet been printed and finalized. To create a new Order Number, enter a <.> (period) then press
<ENTER>.
Enter your Counterperson Code and press <ENTER>. The field will remain blank as you type, for security reasons. After accepting the code, your first name will appear in the field.
The cursor will bypass stopping here if the Counterperson Code was already entered in the “POS Order Entry” screen for an entered order and the “Counterperson Flag” in “POS Defaults and Comments” is YES in SYSTEM MANAGEMENT (10.2.6.2 field 5 page 1).
Enter the Customer Number and press <ENTER>. Once a Customer Number has been entered, the following information may be displayed in the center of the screen: POS Notes (if entered in the “Customer Entry” in ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE 6.1.1 field 24 page 2), Authorized Buyer (if entered in the “Customer Entry” in ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE 6.1.1 field 31 page 2), Last Buy Date (if customer has made a previous order and invoices have been posted), and Salesperson of Record (if entered in the “Customer Entry” in ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE 6.1.1 field 14 page 1). A maximum of 12 Authorized Buyers will be displayed.
Shipper and Tracking Number prompts are available when an order is finalized. If either the Shipper or the Tracking Number is present on an order, they will be displayed when in <FC> Full Comment mode.
Note: In order for these prompts to appear, the Ship Via for the order must be set up properly in Customer Ship Via Entry (6.1.9.1, field 8).
