TimeCard Maintenance is used to edit entries made in "TimeCard Entry" in POINT OF SALE (1.11). It is highly suggested that this program be Password Protected, for security reasons.
The Employee Number is the specific number for the Employee.
The default date is the "Current Start Date" for that location, entered in "Payroll Date Entry" (9.1.1).
You may edit the In Time, Out Time, Earning Code, Earning Rate and Job Cost from this screen. Use the arrow keys to go to the field to be edited. Only three Time In and Time Outs will be displayed. Use the <PAGE UP> and <PAGE DOWN> keys to scroll through selections, if applicable.
12:00am is Midnight. 12:00pm is Noon.
The TimeCard calendar will now be displayed starting with the Date entered above. The cursor will be at the first IN box of the first day. The time may be entered by the clock time or by the number of hours.
The Selection Number is the Date, when editing an entry. (Example May 30th, the Selection Number is 30.)
If using the clock time, enter in the In Time for this entry, followed by an <A> for AM or a <P> for PM. Then enter the Out Time, followed by an <A> for AM or a <P> for PM.
If using the number of hours, enter the number of hours worked, followed by an asterisk (*). The time will automatically be entered as 8:00am, if it is the first entry. The In and Out Time will automatically be entered.
If left blank, the default Earning Code will be used. You may also type in a specific Earning Code for this Employee that will override the default.
If left blank, the default Rate for this Employee will be used. You may also type in a different Rate at this time to override the default.
All Rates displayed are at Regular time.
Job Cost must first be turned on at "Job Cost Entry" in SYSTEM MANAGEMENT (10.7.1). The Job Cost Id may be blank if adding a new entry. Leaving the Job Cost blank by pressing <ENTER> will not Job Cost this entry.
Minimum Job Hours are required to create a Payroll Entry from TimeCard entry. The Job Cost field is mandatory if the minimum number of hours is entered. You enter in the hours in "Employee Entry" (9.3.1)
You may create the Payroll Entry for this Employee using the displayed TimeCard. Enter a <P> and press <ENTER>, to create a Payroll Entry using the displayed TimeCard.
The Payroll Entry will now be displayed. Please refer to "Payroll Hours Entry" (9.1.3) below for further instruction on how to edit a Payroll Entry.
