7.10.3 Contractor TimeCard Maintenance
Previous Topic  Next Topic

The TimeCard program allows you to clock in and out of work, right from your terminal at "TimeCard Entry" in POINT OF SALE (1.11). It is highly suggested that this program be Password Protected, for security reasons.

Minimum Job Hours are required to create a Payroll Entry from TimeCard entry.  The Job Cost field is mandatory if the minimum number of hours is entered. You enter in the hours in "Contractor Entry" (7.10.1 field 29).

The Contractor Number is the specific number for the Contractor. This is the last four digits of the Contractors Social Security number.

The default date is the "Current Start Date" for that location, entered in "Payroll Date Entry" in PAYROLL (9.1.1)

You may edit the In Time, Out Time, Earning Code, Earning Rate and Job Cost from this screen. Use the arrow keys to go to the field to be edited. Only three Time In and Time Outs will be displayed. Use the <PAGE UP> and <PAGE DOWN> keys to scroll through selections, if applicable.

12:00am is Midnight. 12:00pm is Noon.

The TimeCard calendar will now be displayed starting with the Date entered above. The cursor will be at the first IN box of the first day. The time may be entered by the clock time or by the number of hours.

The Selection Number is the Date, when editing an entry. (Example May 30th, the Selection Number is 30.)

The number of hours worked can be edited by using the clock time or entering the exact number of hours worked.

If using the clock time, enter in the In Time for this entry, followed by an <A> for AM or a <P> for PM. Then enter the Out Time, followed by an <A> for AM or a <P> for PM.

If using the number of hours, enter the number of hours worked, followed by an asterisk (*). The time will automatically be entered as 8:00am, if it is the first entry. The In and Out Time will automatically be entered.

If left blank, the default Earning Code will be used. You may also type in a specific Earning Code for this Contractor that will override the default.

If left blank, the default Rate for this Contractor will be used. You may also type in a different Rate at this time to override the default.

All Rates displayed are at Regular time.

The Job Cost Id may be blank if adding a new entry. Leaving the Job Cost blank by pressing <ENTER> will not Job Cost this entry.

A Job Cost must first be created in "Job Cost Entry" in SYSTEM MANAGEMENT (10.7.1) in order to assign job costs.

Minimum Job Hours are required to create a Job Cost from TimeCard entry.  The Job Cost field is mandatory if the minimum number of hours is entered. You enter in the hours in "Contractor Entry" (7.10.1).

You may create a Voucher for this Contractor using the displayed TimeCard. Enter a <P> and press <ENTER>, to create a Voucher Entry using the displayed TimeCard.

The Voucher Entry will now be displayed. Please refer to "Voucher Entry" (7.1.1) for further instruction on how to edit a Voucher.
