Previous Topic  Next Topic

The Paid Outs menu is used to proof and post Paid Outs. A Paid Out is the ability to take money out of the cash drawer for expenses while keeping an accurate record. For example, giving gas money for a delivery. Paid Outs appear on the Close Out Report. This feature may be password protected in "POS Passwords" in SYSTEM MANAGEMENT (10.2.6.3 field 19 page 1).

There is an option in “POS Defaults & Comments” in SYSTEM MANAGEMENT (10.2.6.2 field 50 page 3) that enables Paid Outs to be posted to the General Ledger. The Paid Out Code must be assigned a specific General Ledger Account number in “Paid Out Code Entry” in SYSTEM MANAGEMENT (10.2.6.6 field 2). When finalizing a Paid Out, you will be prompted for the amount and the code. Paid Outs should be Proofed by running the “Paid Out Report” (6.14.1) and posted in “Post Paid Outs to Accounting” (6.14.2).
