You may have a Credit Limit Password available for your counterpeople to override the Credit Limit at the “POS Order Entry” in POINT OF SALE (1.1). This allows Charge Sales to be given to customers over their credit limit after entering the Password.
The following entries are used only if you have a Credit Manager available at all times to give a one-time credit limit override passwords.
Once the Counterperson has sent for a password the Credit Manager's port will display a message and beep. The password given is a one-time override.
Enter the Port Number where the Credit Manager will receive the message, and press <ENTER>. The Credit Limit message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen of the port assigned. The message will appear to the right of the cursor.
The Customer Number will appear on the screen from the request of the Counterperson. Move the cursor to the "password" prompt. Enter the password for the one time override, and press <ENTER>.

If the Order is more than one week old, the flag will be reset when the Order is taken off Hold and the Credit Limit will be in affect again. This feature must be set up in "POS Defaults & Comments" in SYSTEM MANAGEMENT (10.2.6.2 field 28 page 3).
The Port Number to send the message to will be displayed, just press <ENTER>. Enter an <M> and press <ENTER> to save and send the password to the port specified.
You may clear the message to the Credit Manager if a password is not going to be sent. Enter a <C> and press <ENTER>.
