6.11.7 Statement Dunning Message Entry
Previous Topic  Next Topic

A Statement Dunning Message is a message that appears on the Customer's Statement to remind the Customer of the status of their account. The message that appears relates to the Aging of the Customer's Account. There are five different messages that are available, 0-30, 31-60, 61-90, 91-120, and 121+. Although named for the monthly aging periods, the weekly Statements are also affected (0-30 message will be used for 0-7, 31-60 for 8-14, 61-90 for 15-21, 91-210 for 22-28, and 121+ for 29+).

When aging by Due Date or Discount Date (option <DD> or <DI> in "Statement

Terms and Comments" 6.11.6 field 6 Aging Type) there is no dunning message available for Current or 120+ because, Current is not past due and therefore has no entry in Dunning Messages, AND 120+ if not available at all when aging by <DD> or <DI> because the aging titles shift to the right to make room for the Current title.

When aging by Due Date or Discount Date the following are the aging titles:

Current   1-30   31-60   61-90   91+

When aging by Invoice Date (the way most do it) the following are the aging titles:

0-30   31-60  61-90   61-90   120+

The Dunning Message will appear in the body of the statement, above the account information. It will appear only on the first page of a multiple page Statement.

Disputed Invoices are set in "Enter PO into Posted Invoice/Show Applied Items" (6.3.5) and will appear marked on the Statement with an asterisk (*).  The Invoice is aged according to the Invoice Date and will still trigger Dunning Messages. Disputed Invoices are exempt from Service Charges.

There are five Dunning Id's available, 0-30, 31-60, 61-90, 91-120, and 121+. Remember, although named for Monthly Aging, Weekly Statements are also affected.
