10.9.4 Print Daily Totals Report
Previous Topic  Next Topic

You may have the system automatically print a report after the nightly process through the “Daily Totals Setup”. (10.9.1). You may also print a report for a particular location with a start and ending date. A report will be printed for each date in the date range.

The information printed will show the date chosen, month-to-date and year-to-date information, number of items (count) and dollar amounts.

The report will print the following information:  Orders Entered (DI, CI, and WI), Orders Invoiced, Hold Orders, Future Orders, Old Back Orders, New Back Orders, Quantity Ordered, Quantity Shipped, Fill Ration Percentage, Lost Sales, Merchandise Sales (DI), Credits (CI and WI), Net Sales, Cost of Goods Sold, Gross Profit, Gross Profit Percentage, Discount, Restocking Fee, Sales Tax, Freight, Charge Amount (CHG & COD), Cash Amount (CSH), Dated Billing, Open Purchase Orders, Beginning Inventory, Cost of Goods Sold, Cost of Receiving, Cost of Transfers Out, Cost of Transfers In, Inventory Adjustments, Ending Inventory and Inventory Turn.

When comparing the Transfer Totals on the report to any other report that shows Transfers (ex:  Posted Invoice Report), you must compare the cost of the Transfers, not the Price column.

If the Totals on the report do not match, then run the "Start/Stop Daily Totals Processing" (10.9.2). This will recalculate most of the fields on this report.

Fields that can be recalculated are:  Hold Orders, Future Orders, Old Back Orders, New Back Orders, Open Purchase Orders, Beginning Inventory + Previous Holds, and Ending Inventory.

Calculating Hold Order Costs:  The Beginning Inventory and Ending Inventory amounts include the Hold Order Cost. The cost is calculated at Inventory Warehouse cost at the time the Daily Totals record is calculated. Not-on-File part numbers on Hold Orders do not count toward the cost. Therefore, the Not-on-File part cost will show up in the Inventory Adjustments when the order is finalized. The Beginning Inventory consists of the Ending Inventory Value plus the Hold Order Cost of the previous days Daily Totals Report. The Ending Inventory consists of the Inventory Value plus the Hold Order Cost of the date of the Daily Totals report. The Inventory Value includes the Hold Order costs because the product has not shipped and is part of the Inventory, yet the Quantity on Hand has been affected.

You may view on the screen or print this report.

The view screen function requires an AccuTerm© station or terminal capable of viewing 132 columns. Update fields 13, 14, and 16 in “Port Entry” in POINT OF SALE (1.10) to enable this function.

After the report is displayed to the screen you also have the option of entering a <D> to download the report to your local hard drive. When downloading the file, the path defaults to C:\TEMP but will use the setup in “Port Entry” (1.10 field 16) for the download path. This directory must exist on the PC executing the download. The Windows© file name will be the report name concatenated to the port number, then .TXT. For example: ORDER.RPT10.TXT, where 10 is the port number or ORDER.RPT10TAB.TXT for the TAB Delimited file name.
