10.10 Batch Processing
Previous Topic  Next Topic

The Batch Processing program is a powerful and very useful program that allows you to create batch-processing entries that you want generated automatically. A batch process is a group of programs. An entry can be anything in the system, including TCL commands. These entries can be scheduled to execute at a specific time, on a specific date, on a day of the month, on a day of the week or any number of days in between (Example every three days).

Example of Batch Processing:  Automatically printing of the AR Aging Report  every morning for customers who are 60 days past due.

If fields 3 (Specific Date), 4 (Day of Month), 5 (Day of Week), and 6 (Days between Periods) are blank, the Batch Processing will be disabled. If you want the "Batch Processing Entry" (10.10.1) to execute, you must fill in one of these fields.

There is a precedence for the fields 3, 4, 5, and 6. The first field that is filled in will be used and the others will be ignored. (Example:  3 takes precedence over 4, 4 over 5, etc…)
