If you are have some trouble with Active Fax and sending out local faxes correctly, the follow tips will help.

• If the problem is with local area codes, it good to understand what your options are to change how a customer works in 6.1.1 under in Field #13.  By default, we put in FAX as description so the system uses that number for the fax. Below are some new options for more flexibility.

• add a space LDR then it adds 1
• add a space ACDR then it adds the area code

• If customers wants to control how AF faxes out through Perfection then according to Active Fax support, you need to remove all dialing rules in AF (Communication / Modem / Dialing Properties) even the area code. Then Active Fax will send out faxes as they appear from our software.

• CT MASTER FAX.SETUP has a lot of setting in it but for the above to work attribute 5 must be left blank or it will add are code to every local number. But every site is different so it depends what the phone setup is like in that state.
