This program is available to Copy one or more customer(s) to new customer numbers from TCL. The Merge option from the standard <C>opy Customer option in “Customer Entry” in ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE (6.1.1) is also available.

At TCL type: COPY.CUSTOMER <ENTER>

Enter Customer Number to copy FROM:

Enter Customer Number to copy TO:

If TO Customer exists you will be prompted to choose the surviving customer.

You can continue entering customers to be copied and/or merged, and with each addition or deletion the list will be refreshed. To remove a customer from the list, simply re-type the FROM customer number and a prompt will be displayed. After the last customer has been entered, press <ENTER> and the last prompt will be displayed:

Execute Copy Now? (Y/N):

Entering anything but <Y> will exit the program. The list, however, will be stored and redisplayed the next time COPY.CUSTOMER is run. This allows you to add account numbers to the list throughout the day, and execute the copy overnight. If any errors are encountered, they will be displayed after the list has been traversed, along with a count of errors and successful copies.
