The Customer Stock Quantity - Print Bar Code Book is used to select Sales History by Part Number Unit of Measure for a Customer and assign a Stock Quantity (like a Stock Level) to each Part based on Sales History. You can also manually set the Stock Quantity.
A Bar Code Book can be used in conjunction with the optional PDA handheld device to make finding Bar Codes easier when taking an Order for a Customer. When printing this Bar Code Book for a Customer, you have the option to print the Customer and Name on each Bar Code Sheet. The options are: Customer Number, Customer Code, Customer On-Line Code or not to print. If printing, the Customer name and code selected will print on the first label (upper left) on each Bar Code sheet. For more information on the optional PDA handheld device, please call Perfection Software Sales Department.
The first prompt will ask for the Customer Number. The Stock Quantity, Part Number, Description, Unit of Measure, and Customer's Bin Location will be displayed for all Part Numbers that were Calculated for this Customer. You may sort the Part Number, Stock Quantity or Bin Location.
When Copying a Customer Stock Quantity Entry to another Customer Record, you have the option to overwrite or insert new Parts. Copying may be useful if you want to setup templates or model entries.
You have the option of Recalculating (i.e. build new sales history). At the Enter Selection prompt, enter an <R> and press <ENTER>. You will then answer the following prompts to be used for the calculations: Active or Inactive (A/I), Manufacturer, Manufacturer Sort Code, Group Code, Popularity Code, Begin Date, End Date, Minimum Quantity Sold to skip parts, Number of Days Stock and Round Value on Stock Qty. The system will select the Customer’s Sales History, and build and display a list of Part Numbers. The existing parts on the screen will be cleared except for Parts with a leading zero (0) in the Stock Quantity. These Parts will be locked into the screen and will have to be changed manually. In addition, if a part remains after the recalculation, the Bin Location will remain also.
The Stock Quantity will be calculated by accumulating the Sales History by Part Number Unit of Measure then dividing by the number of days history (assuming a 5-day work week for the date range given) then multiplying by the Number of Days Stock. If the Sales History is less than the Minimum Quantity Sold, then the Part will be skipped.
You may Print the Part Number Listing. An Error Message will be displayed if the Part Number is not on file or the Unit of Measure does not exist for the Part. Enter <P> at the Enter Selection Prompt and press <ENTER>.
You also have the option of printing a Part Listing with 12-months Sales History, Year-to-Date, and Average per Month Quantity Sales. Enter <PS> at the Enter Selection Prompt and press <ENTER>.
You may Print a Bar Code Book by entering a <B> at the Enter Selection Prompt and pressing <ENTER>. You will be prompted with the following:
Enter <N> to Not Print Parts with Zero (0) Stock Qty:
* NOTE: Locked Zero (00) Stock Qty will still print. Non-Stocking (NS) items will Not print.
You will then be prompted for Bin Location or you can press <Enter> for All Part Numbers.
Print Customer and Name on Bar Code Sheets:
* Options : <N>=Customer Number, <C>=Customer Code, <O>=Customer On-Line Code or Press <ENTER> to not print customer on the bar code sheets.
NOTE: Press <ENTER> for All Parts. If you respond with N, C, or O for the Print Customer and Name on Bar Code Sheet question, you will be prompted with: "Do you want to print a Page Count on each Bar Code Sheet (Y/N)?" The page counter will display in the top, left Bar Code Label of each page.
You will be prompted for the type of printer.
Enter Bar Code Printer type:
* Options: <O>kidata Turbo, <H>p Laserjet/PCL5 compatible or <Z>ebra.
The appropriate Bar Code Label print program (5.1.8.3+) will be used. You will be prompted for the number of labels to print across. The Stock Quantity will print to the right of the Unit of Measure.
Since Part Numbers can be manually changed, added or deleted, you need to Save your new calculations. You also have the option of Deleting the entire entry.
