The Zip/Postal Code Setup is used in the Zip/Postal Code Entry. DO NOT CHANGE these unless you absolutely understand the effect.
This will allow user-defined Zip/Postal Code formats. The system default will allow 5-digit, 9-digit, and 6-character (Canadian) formats. This change affects all programs in the system that use Zip/Postal Codes.
More formats can be added but should be done with the guidance of the Perfection Software Support Department .
Examples of Zip/Postal Codes: A 5-digit Zip Code will appear as 5-digits (33029). A 9-digit Zip Code will appear with a dash (33029-1234). The Canadian Postal Codes are 3-characters, a space, and then 3-characters (L2C 6Y2).
The Zip/Postal Code Input Form is used for validating Zip/Postal Codes when they are entered in the system. DO NOT use dashes or spaces in the Input Format.
The Zip/Postal Code Output Formats is used for displaying Zip/Postal Codes depending on how it was inputted.
The State Label and Country Codes are also entered in the setup.
