Sometimes, with age, a tape may fail. This program is designed to test the tape to see if that is the problem of not getting a file save. This feature will be used in conjunction with Perfection Software Support Department Instructions. Please call the Perfection Software Support Department before attempting this procedure.

The program defaults to the File Save Tape Command for your particular tape size. You may test some or all of the tape. It is recommended that you test a minimum of 15mb.

 

Enter the number of megabytes to test, up to the size of the tape, and press <ENTER>. Then press <ENTER> to continue.  The tape will be tested and a message will appear if there are any errors on the tape.
