Save and Restore Procedure

D3NT Save and Restore of Account


  1. At the Main Menu in the PM account go to TCL.


  1. Type in RESIZE.ALL and hit ENTER.


  1. When this is finished, type in “M” to return to the Main Menu.


  1. Do a regular FILE-SAVE in 10.1.11.


Once the file save is done and verified, do the following:

  1. In Windows, shutdown the VME by going into SERVICES and stopping the D# Virtual Machine Environment.


  1. When it shuts down, wait 5 seconds and then start it back up again my hitting START (Not startup).


  1. Close the SERVICES dialogue box.


  1. Click on the START button at the bottom of your screen on the TASKBAR.  Go to PROGRAMS > D3 Utilities > D3 File Manager.


  1. Click on the folder icon to open the database list.


  1. Right click on the PM account and then choose RENAME.  Rename the file to PM2.


  1. Hit the F5 function key to refresh your screen.


  1. Go back into Accuterm and log into PM.  You should be at the MAIN MENU.


  1. Type in DM and hit ENTER.


  1. At the colon (:) type QS.UPD and hit ENTER.


  1. After this finishes, log off by typing OFF and hit ENTER.


  1. Log back on again but this time log into DM by using DM as your user name, and then use DM as the master dictionary as well.


  1. At the colon (:) type in T-SELECT 4; choose your PSEUDO TAPE BACKUP FILE.


  1. At the colon  (:) type ACCOUNT-RESTORE PM.


  1. It will ask you the Account Name on tape?, and you answer is PM.


  1. The file should restore successfully, and this procedure should take about one hour.


  1. Leave the PM2 file out there, we can delete it later after we know everything has restore successfully.
