Unit of Measure
Previous Topic  Next Topic

If the Part Number is available in more than one Unit of Measure, a selection will display in the lower left side of the window showing all available units. When the prompt for the Unit of Measure appears you get some very valuable information: Part Number Description, Quantity on Hand, Quantity on Order, Due Date, and Bin Location. This will help the Counterperson know if there is inventory available to sell before the item is selected.

You may choose to display the Unit of Measure information, even if there is only one Unit of Measure available. The Single Unit of Measure prompt must be set up in “POS Defaults & Comments” in SYSTEM MANAGEMENT (10.2.6.2 field 27 page 3).

If a Purchase Order has been flagged as “Arrived” but not Received, the part numbers affected will be marked as “Arrived” in the “Due Date” column when displaying Unit of Measure information. This will allow the Counterperson to sell the product rather than to mark it as a “lost sale.”
