POS Customer Display Device

A Point of Sale Customer Pole Display Device can be setup to display line item price and order total. The purpose of the device is to display this to the customer so they are aware of the line item price and order total as the order is being created at the counter.

Currently this Logic Controls LC9000D model is supported. It is a USB or parallel port device. The USB device has to be installed in Windows and setup as a text printer. The Parallel device connects to the parallel port on the back of a terminal.

The device has to be set up as a slave printer. This was integrated with AccuTerm AT.PR.SL.SETUP item. The option in "Port Entry" (1.10) option <SL> (at the bottom of the screen) will bring up the AccuTerm Slave Printer Name Setup, which is used to update the printer assignments.

If using a parallel port device then the POS Customer Display Printer Name has to be setup as "TERMINAL", otherwise it should contain the local Windows Printer Name.

The Parallel device could be used on a Windows PC if it has a parallel port available, but typically a USB device will be used on PCs.
