The Customer Labels program will print 3 1/4" x 15/16" labels. The customer's mailing address will print on the label. This program is very useful to send out a brochure announcing sales to a particular Zip/Postal code or for a certain Salesperson's accounts.
The list of customers generated in “Customer Sales Ranking” in SALES MANAGEMENT (2.1.5) is automatically saved into a SAVE-LIST called “CUST.SLS.RANKINGport” where “port” is the port number the process is running on. This list can be used to print only those customers selected. The List Name prompt will allow entry of multiple lists at one time. If multiple lists are entered, then they will be combined when printing.
When doing a mailing, the physical region of the state/city/country is more important than the actual mailing region (which is often a P.O. Box). You will want the mailing to go to the mailing address targeting the physical location. The selection criterion is by Shipping Zip Code only but the mailing address will print on the label.
You may select Salesperson of Record, Payment Term, and Customer Sort Code.
You have the following choices when printing labels: <O> to print Owner’s Name on the label, <A> to print the Account number on the label, <N> to print neither, or <U> to select a User Defined field to print on the label. If <U> is selected a prompt for “Field Number (1-15)” will appear. Enter the user defined field that you want to appear on the label. User Defined fields are created by using the <UD> option in "Customer Entry" (6.1.1).
You may have the label print the Customer’s shipping address by choosing the “Print Shipping Address” option.
You may print on labels that are one, three or four across the sheet.
You may sort the labels by Zip Code or by Customer Name. The Zip Code will be the Mailing Zip Code, unless “Print Shipping Labels” above is set to Yes, then the Shipping Zip Code will be used. This will aid in bulk mailing.
All Label sizes are designed to print 6 LPI. You can choose from the following label sizes:
<1> = 3 1/2" x 15/16" - Dot Matrix continuous feed, 1 across, 10 CPI.
<2> = 2 5/8" x 1" - Laser Printer sheets, 3 across, 10 down, 10 CPI.
<3> = 2 5/8" x 1" - Laser Printer sheets, 3 across, 10 down, 12 CPI.
