10.3.1  Assign Terminal Logon Password
Previous Topic  Next Topic

Every port may have its own Logon Password enabling you to protect each port.

At "Enter Selection" type in the number of the port to Password protect, or type <+> and the Port Number to start at that number and continue, and press <ENTER>.

You have twelve characters, numbers or letters, for the Password.

To delete a Password, press the <CONTROL> key and the <C> (at the same time) while at the first character of the Password.

Remember that a SPACE is a character.  If you try to delete by pressing the <SPACE BAR>, you are really entering SPACES as a Password. Passwords are “case sensitive”. You must type the password exactly as entered (example:  if the password is LOCK, then it must be entered in all capitals, Lock or lock will not work).
