In Customer Entry (6.1.1), you can now add free form text that will print on a customer label by typing UD for User Defined Labels.

There is a rebuild program that will set all the User Def Labels in the CUSTOMER and INVENTORY files from defaults in the MASTER file, AND rebuild lists based on the values in the Labels and the fields.

The MASTER file entry for Customer Labels is CUST.USER.DEF.LABEL.DEFAULT.

The MASTER file entry for Inventory Labels is INV.USER.DEF.LABEL.DEFAULT.

The rebuild program is REBUILD.UD.LABELS.LISTS and can be run from TCL by typing REBUILD.UD.LABELS.LISTS. This could be run on a live system as long as no one is trying to print labels or is in a customer file (6.1.1).

This can also be set as a batch process with the program name REBUILD.UD.LABELS.LISTS (C. The (C tells the system to enter <C> to continue.

There is also a MASTER file entry USER.DEF.OLD.LIST.NAMES used to clear out all the old lists before rebuilding. This will take care of any obsolete lists. This list is maintained automatically by the program.
