Slave Printing in Accuterm
Previous Topic  Next Topic

This option is used when you want to print invoices, pick tickets and/or reports to different slave printers within Perfect Software.

At TCL enter U MASTER AT.PR.SL.SETUP and go to the line number equal to the Port number you are printing slave from + 1.

For example, if the Port number is 63, the line number to enter the printer names on is 64.

63

64 Okidata ML 320-IBM on LPT1:         (Invoice Printer)

Okidata ML 320-IBM on COM1:         (Report Printer)

Okidata ML 320-IBM on COM2:         (Pick Ticket Printer) (added 8/13/2002)

*Important: Get the printer names by going into AccuTerm > File> Printer Setup. How it is entered under NAME, is what goes in the master setup command.

To enter printer names, go to the line number in question, enter the Invoice Printer Name first, press <CTRL V>, then enter the default Report printer in the second value of the attribute, press <CTRL V>, then enter the Pick Ticket printer.

Also, make sure the second printer (Report Printer) is setup as the default printer in AccuTerm>Tools>Settings>Printer. It does not have to be the Windows default printer but that would be easiest to deal with because AccuTerm automatically defaults to the Windows default printer.

Troubleshooting

If it does not work, make sure the printer names are spelled correctly. THIS IS THE MOST COMMON PROBLEM. Check the names in AccuTerm>File>Print Setup or in the Windows Printer folder Start>Settings>Printer. Also, do a print a test page in Windows to make sure the printer is setup in Windows properly.

If the Pick Ticket setting does not work then make sure the customer has the latest version of Perfection Management since that feature was added 8/13/2002.
