Loading ODBC Client

  1. Load ODBC client software.


  1. Double click on SETUP.EXE and click at the Installation window then click close and ok.


  1. Click on START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL>ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS and double on Data Sources (ODBC)


  1. In the ODBC Data Source Admin, click on System DSN and click ADD


  1. D3 ODBC Driver should be highlighted and click finish.


  1. In D3 Data Source Config Parameters window, change Data Source Name (ex.PM)


a. For Linux: type in Host IP (ex, 10.1.1.5), type in Virtual Machine as pick0, user id is odbc and password is odbc and D3 Account is pm then click ok.


b. For Window: type in Host IP (ex, 10.1.1.5), type in Virtual Machine same as the Host IP, User Id is odbc and password is left blank and D3 Account is pm then click ok.


  1. This creates a D3 ODBC Driver in your current window and you can click ok.


  1. Now open Microsoft Access, click FILE>OPEN or Blank Database and type in a file name. A database window will pop up and you can right click in white space and click on Link Tables. Change File Type to ODBC Database and in SELECT DATA SOURCE, click on the Machine Data Source tab and click on the PM source that you created earlier and click ok.


  1. In the Link Tables window, click on data items you want to connect to and click OK. They will now appear in the PM:Database window and you can double click on a data item the data will appear in a grinded window.
