A window should pop up on your Desktop to load Accuterm. If it does not, open Windows Explorer by right clicking on MY COMPUTER and clicking on EXPLORE.
In Windows Explorer, browse to your CD drive (it is usually your D: drive, look for the CD symbol). Expand that by clicking on the plus box. On the right pane click on Accuterm.
Click on ACCUTERM STANDARD EDITION and it will begin to INSTALL.
Type in the CD Key and Serial number and click NEXT (these numbers are usually on the sleeve that the CD came in). Click OK on the license agreement.
Click NEXT at the welcome screen.
Accept the default path for the DESTINATION DIRECTORY. Click NEXT.
Accept the default option for the HOME DIRECTORY (which should be MY DOCUMENTS). Click NEXT.
Select NO for BACKUP REPLACED FILES. Click NEXT.
Check the box that reads MAKE SHORTCUT AVAILABLE TO ALL USERS and the box that reads PLACE SHORTCUT ON DESKTOP. Click NEXT.
You are now ready to install. You can go back and change any of the options if they were entered incorrectly. Click NEXT.
Once the installation is complete, the initial splash screen appears on your screen again. Click EXIT. Remove the CD from your CD drive.
Double click the Accuterm shortcut on your desktop.
Click FILE and select NEW. Click the box that reads CONNECTION WIZARD.
Click the drop down box next to CONNECTTION TYPE and select TELNET. Click NEXT.
ENTER OR SELECT THE HOST NAME OR IP ADDRESS. In this box type in the IP address of your server. Select the HOST TYPE by clicking the drop down box and choosing D3 TURNKEY TELNET. The third box it will say ENTER A SPECIFIC PORT, enter in a Port#. Click NEXT.
TERMINAL TYPE should be ADDS VIEWPOINT A2 ENHANCED. Click FINISH.
Press ENTER and you should see ENTER YOUR USER ID.
