Click on Order Entry and enter in User ID (This is the same as your Salesperson or Counterperson ID) and click NEXT.
Select a customer by using one of these methods: Note that if you go back to the SEARCH screen be sure to click CLEAR between look-ups to remove the last search criteria.
Type in the Customer On-Line code entered in Customer On-Line Code Entry and click NEXT.
Or type in the beginning part of the name and click LIST. Then click on the correct customer number in the list (Quickest Way). NOTE: If you click NEXT instead or LIST you will get a message, ENTRY NOT FOUND, NEAREST ENTRY IS: xxx. Click on LIST.
Or click LIST without entering part of the name and scroll through the list of customers by clicking on the MORE button then click on the customer number.
Or click SEARCH and click on the Cust # field and enter in customer’s number with the dashes (ex. 954-222-7777) then click START SEARCH. Then click on the customer number in the list and click ACCEPT.
Or click SEARCH then click Search Name, starts with and enter in the beginning of the customer’s name and click START SEARCH. Then click on the customer in the list and click ACCEPT.
Or to retrieve a list of customers by Zip Code, Click SEARCH then click Search Through Address, contains and then enter a zip code number and click START SEARCH. Then click on the customer and click ACCEPT.
Or to look up by a customer sort code click SEARCH then click Sort Code, then enter the sort code and click START SEARCH. Then click on the customer and click ACCEPT.
PO #, Date and Comment are all Optional entries. Click NEXT to quickly by-pass these fields.
Enter PO # that will appear in the Purchase Order for this order (it does not pay attention to the PO Required field setup in Customer Entry).
Enter Date if you want to change the Original Date Entered for this Order. Otherwise it will default to the system date when the order is uploaded to the main system. To change the date now click on DATE line and click on desired date or the TODAY button (to select current date automatically) and then click NEXT.
Enter Comment if you want to put a comment on the order.
Now you can scan bar codes or enter in part # to your order, by using one of below methods: Note that if searching and you go back to the SEARCH screen be sure to click CLEAR between look-ups to remove the last search criteria.
To scan a bar code, face the top of the palm at the bar code on the product and press one of the blue buttons at the top of the palm device. Enter in the quantity and click ADD:NEXT or scan the next product (you can increase the qty automatically by one, by scanning the same bar code again). When you are finished with the order, click DONE. (QUICKEST WAY)
Or at PART UNIT, enter the manufacturer’s line code, a period (.) and the beginning of the part number, then click LIST. Then click on the part number in the list that you want (Fast). NOTE: If you click NEXT instead of LIST you will get a message, ENTRY NOT FOUND, NEAREST ENTRY IS: xxx. Click on LIST.
Or to look-up a part number without using the manufacturer’s line code click SEARCH, then click on Search Through Note/Part, contains, then enter the part number without a manufacturers line code. Then click START SEARCH. Click the part #, then click ACCEPT, change the quantity if necessary and click ADD:NEXT or DONE. (This is Fast) (Note that this will also search through the Inventory Notes)
Or click LIST and scroll through the list of part # by clicking on the MORE button. When you find the part # you want, click on it and enter in qty then click ADD:NEXT to select another part #. When you have selected all of the part #’s click DONE.
Or click SEARCH then click Part Unit and enter in the part # (ex. 3m.6334) and click START SEARCH click on the part # then click ACCEPT and enter in qty and click ADD:NEXT or DONE.
To look-up by a part’s description you can use either Search Desc, starts with or contains. Enter the beginning of a description or a word contained in a description in the proper field and then click START SEARCH and a list of part # will come up. Select the part number you want and click ACCEPT.
Quantity, Price and Comment fields.
To change the Quantity click the (+1) or (-1) field or click the quantity field for more options.
To change the Price click the price field and enter a new price.
Enter a Comment if you want to put a line-item comment for this part.
When you are finished click DONE, you will be at a part # review screen. You can click NEW to enter in another part # or you can remove a part # by clicking on it then click on Order Entry (top left) then click Options > Delete Line Item. It will ask you to confirm, click YES. If you are done, click END to finish the order.
You can start a new order at this point by entering a customer number or click REVIEW to go to the order review screen. You can go back into an order by clicking on it or create a new order by clicking on NEW or delete a order by clicking on the customer name and click Order Entry (top left) then click Options > Delete Document. It will ask you to confirm and click YES.
You can also view the Total Value of the order by clicking on Order Entry (described above) and clicking Totals.
If you are done and are ready to HotSync then click END to get back to the Main Order Entry Screen and start HotSync process.
