If Desqtop should be inactive when you try to login, it is usually means the com port is corrupted.
- Login to DM and type CT MD USER-COLDSTART and look for the command line for Desqtop port. It usually appears like this:
dev-make -t serial -n 2 -a \\.\COM2,2400,8,1,N
- Then dev-remov this port number (ex. DEV-REMOV T2) and reset-user .
- And copy and the paste the current command out of user-coldstart to recreate the port.
- Once port is recreated, goto DSA and type C to go to Communications then O and ENTER to restart the Desqtop.
