Changing the Customer Status

Note: This is used for adding information to a customer’s account. Usually this will be done during the process of installing PM. Programs on a new computer.

• Go to the Perf I Computer and type TCL from the Main Menu.

• You need to be in the PS (Perfection Software) account to proceed. If in doubt type WHO  and press ENTER at the colon to see. If you are      not in the PS account type TO PS and press ENTER.

• At the TCL (Terminal Control Language) prompt type U CUST.PM Client’s Phone # (I and press ENTER.

• The next screen will show the client’s name and in some cases their address. To move in between fields press the ENTER key to move down. 

        You need to move down to the field which on the left says SW. This is for software support. Type Y in this field and continue to move down till     you get to the field for the Floppy drive. Type 3.5 for a 3.5 diskette drive.

• On the next field labeled Tape type TANDBERG 3520 or whatever current tape drive is being used.

• Press the ENTER key which will move you onto the field for the Loclist. This referees to the number of licensed locations for the customer. 

        Normally you will type 1 in this field. Press the ENTER key.

• Next field will denote the number of licensed users for this location. You need to refer to the work order for the client. If the number of

        Perfection Management Users is 2 you need to enter type 2 in this field and press ENTER.

• In the next field labeled Part Numbers type PERF.MANAGEMENT and press ENTER.

• In the next field under Unit type in EACH and press ENTER.

• Under Qty type the licensed number of users for this client, i.e. 2 and press ENTER.

• Under Serial Number type P for PRO. Press ENTER.

• Under Status type A for active.

• And finally under Date type in today’s date.

• To save these changes to the Customers Status press CTRL & X and then press F to file.
