From the Main Menu go to 1.10 and then enter your port number.
In field 8, change the system printer to “S” for slave, and then save it.
Go to the report you want to save into a text file.
When you are at the beginning of making certain selections for that report, fill out the screen but DO NOT hit (P)rint for print yet. Use the mouse and click on the button at the top of the screen which looks like an Arrow Pointing to a Blue Cylinder. It is the capture button.
Choose “New File Only” and “Printer Data” then give the file a name in the uppermost box. It will say C:\Program Files\Atwin\. Whatever name you would like, type it in after the slash. Then click the “Start Capture” button.
Then choose to print to the Printer on the report you are working on. After is says it has finished, click back on the capture button and then “End Capture.”
You will now be able to go to Windows Explorer and open the text file in whatever program you want. The file will be found in C:\Program Files\Atwin\TEST (or whatever you named it).
