Hazardous Material Class Shipping Information

You may have the Hazardous Material Class Shipping Information print on all DI (Debit Sales Orders). This must be setup for the individual Part Numbers in “Inventory Entry” in INVENTORY (5.1.1). You must turn on this feature in “POS Defaults & Comments” in SYSTEM MANAGEMENT (10.2.6.2 fields 26 & 64 pages 2  & 4). The information that will be printed is: Proper Shipping Name, Hazardous Class Number, United Nation ID, Packing Group, Number and Type of each Container, and your 24-hour Emergency Contact Name and Phone Number. Each item will be marked by an “X” if it is a Hazardous Material Part Number.

Hazmat shipper information is included on packing slips. It will not prompt for or print a packing slip unless there is a free form Shipto information on the order.

There is an option to remove the blank line between the hazardous material shipper and the hazardous material comment that appear after the shipper on the invoice. Create an entry in MASTER REMOVE.BLANK.LINE.HAZ.MAT.COMMENT

NOTE: The Hazardous Material Comment that is part of the federal specification will also be printed. This comment states: “This is to certify that the above named materials are properly classified, described, packaged, marked and labeled, and are in proper condition for transportation according to the applicable regulations of the Department of Transportation.” This comment may be modified at TCL.

NOTE: Federal Law requires the Hazardous Material Comment be printed on any HazMat shipping document, but ultimately it is the responsibility of the customer.
